Research Overview
The EROS project is divided into six core projects. To read more about these please select one of the projects below.
- Development and Variability
  This project examines how emotion regulation develops during childhood and in relationships, and how it varies across situations
- Neurophysiology
  This project investigates the brain areas implicated in emotion regulation
- Automaticity
  This project examines whether emotion regulation strategies and goals can be processed automatically
- Personal Consequences
  This project explores the performance and well-being effects of emotion self-regulation
- Interpersonal Consequences
  This project examines the effects of regulating others’ emotions on well-being and the quality of relationships
- Interventions
  This project investigates a range of interventions designed to promote effective and functional emotion regulation

Project Role: I am currently working with Dr Tom Farrow and Dr Thomas Webb in the neuroscientific part of the project trying to examine automatic emotion regulation. We hope to use TdcS to investigate the neural substrates of automatic emotion regulation.
Research Interests: My research interests revolve around emotion dysregulation and the creation of dysfunctional emotional reactions, like those observed in post traumatic stress disorder, and the importance of emotion regulation.
