Project Role

The main EROS projects I am involved in as a researcher are ‘Development and Variability’ and ‘Interpersonal Consequences’. I work together with Dr Brian Parkinson on several studies looking at interpersonal emotion regulation in romantic couples.

Research Interests

Interpersonal emotion processes; emotional experience and facial expression in the general population; the influence of social context on facial expressivity; emotional and non emotional facial expressivity in people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD); facial expression, emotional experience and mental health (depression and schizophrenia); the relation between emotional experience and eating behaviour; regulation of crying in adults.
