Research Overview
The EROS project is divided into six core projects. To read more about these please select one of the projects below.
- Development and Variability
  This project examines how emotion regulation develops during childhood and in relationships, and how it varies across situations
- Neurophysiology
  This project investigates the brain areas implicated in emotion regulation
- Automaticity
  This project examines whether emotion regulation strategies and goals can be processed automatically
- Personal Consequences
  This project explores the performance and well-being effects of emotion self-regulation
- Interpersonal Consequences
  This project examines the effects of regulating others’ emotions on well-being and the quality of relationships
- Interventions
  This project investigates a range of interventions designed to promote effective and functional emotion regulation

May Davidson Lecture Award

Warren Mansell, who is one of the EROS research team, has been awarded the May Davidson Lecture Award

This is an award for clinical psychologists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of clinical psychology within the first 10 years of their work as a qualified clinical psychologist.

Part of the award is a lecture delivered at the Division of Clinical Psychology Annual Conference on 1st – 2nd December 2011.
