Should I Strap A Battery To My Head? (And Other Questions About Emotion) - Book Launch
Date: Oct 19, 2012
Time: 06:00 PMLocation:
Mappin Hall, Sir Frederick Mappin Building, Mappin Street, Sheffield, S1 3JD.
This event marks the launch of a new popular science book about emotion, which is now available on Amazon:
Should I Strap A Battery To My Head? (And Other Questions About Emotion)
Edited by Professor Peter Totterdell from Sheffield University and Dr. Karen Niven from Manchester Business School, the book has been written by a team of psychologists from the EROS project who conduct research on emotion. Each chapter in this offbeat science book poses and answers a different question about emotion.
This is a sample chapter from the book: Can I be touchy feely?
To mark the launch we will be screening a specially commissioned short-film by theatre and film company Third Angel (www.thirdangel.co.uk), which will be followed by a Q & A with some of the scientists and artists.
Event details: 6 p.m., Friday 19th October (60 minutes).
Entrance is free (no booking required).
